Hi there!

Originally from a small town in Newfoundland, Canada, we are now residing in the beautiful Alberta prairie country.

We are a working class husband and wife couple of thirty plus years that have raised two wonderful kids that have finally since branched out on their own. 

Although we couldn’t wait for the time for the kids to move out, we soon found ourselves facing the “empty nest syndrome“.

Ever since we were dating we both realized that we loved to create, especially when it comes to crafts, restoring old furniture, diy home improvements and just figuring out how to fix things ourselves to save those hard earned dollars and improve our lives.

Of course in those days we never had the world wide web for research and tutorials so a lot of books plus trial and error was involved.

So now with retirement getting closer and a little more time to create we decided to help other people and couples with our experiences and ideas who may be facing a similar fate and so this blog was born.
